1st Place

1st Place

After getting on the podium in round 1  I had my work cut out to maintain my position. This time I was joined by my coach Robin O’Leary at the Castle Climbing Centre in London. Another 24 competitiors, 3 climbs and 3 boulder problems to face. This was round 2 of 4 of the British Paraclimbing Series 2015.

After a warm-up we went through the game plan for tackling the climbs and boulders. After discussing them with Robin I felt more confident. I tackled the first route which looked the easiest and then the easiest boulder. This then left the second route which looked at tough one. A hard movement from my little arm and a pocket which was just to small for it. However, I need not have worried as I flashed both.

After lunch the final route and last 2 boulders all looked tough but after discussions with Robin and following my gameplan I flashed them all. Finishing the day with a perfet score.

Another gold for round 2.
